The Prince - Now, pick one character and use the verb was to define her in one sentence as simply as possible.
The Prince was a nervous wreck.
3.Now add five aspects, one sentence for each to explain this character’s understanding of self.
He flinched. He watched over his shoulder. His eyes were always fixed on the door. Always looking for a way out. He was paranoid but, they were indeed after him.
- Continue with a three-sentence paragraph like in the lesson, moving into the interior of your character. (a) Make a general statement, some way to see the world, present tense. (b) Make a second statement describing an emotion the character has or an idea he thinks about, present tense.(c) Start this last sentence with your character, what he or she felt or thought, past tense.
Paranoia is what they call it when they don’t know what’s out there. He carries it in his shoulders, the stress, and constant worry. His stoop makes him look shorter than he is. The Prince thought if he could just get away, he could rest his mind.
